The client in this case was charged with multiple violations of the Horse Protection Act and facing several years in federal prison. After a sentencing hearing, the client received one year of probation and walked out of court a free man.

APPEAL OF GENERAL SESSIONS

The client in this case originally hired a different attorney, and the case was tried in general sessions court. The client was found guilty and sentences to 3 months in jail with the remainder of the 11 month 29 day sentenced to be served on probation. The client appealed the general sessions county ruling and hired Mr. Clarke to try the case in front of a jury in circuit court. The jury deliberated for approximately 30 minutes and returned a not guilty verdict.

AGGRAVATED ARSON

Dismissed

The client in this case was charged with Aggravated Arson and facing 15-25 years in prison. After investigating the case and negotiating with the Assistant District Attorney General, the charge was dismissed.
